- Facing: The pads have a quality PU (polyurethane) facing, which makes them durable and easy to wipe clean.
- Construction: They are built with a traditional cotton and cane construction, designed to provide excellent impact protection from fast bowlers.
- Bolsters: The pads include comfort foam and low-density foam vertical bolsters, along with a one-piece, low-density interior bolster for comfort.
- Knee protection: A stitched-in top hat and a plastic fiber/tri-layer foam knee locator offer superb wrap-around comfort and protection to the knee.
- Straps: The pads are secured with two 2-inch straps and one 1-inch strap, featuring hook and loop closures for an adjustable and secure fit.
- Instep: A mesh instep enhances breathability and comfort.
- Variations: Different iterations of the 808 pads exist. The 2025 version for juniors has a new look, while a 2023 version was previously offered at a reduced price.
- Hand orientation: The pads are available for both right-handed and left-handed players
