Orders & Delivery

How Much Does Delivery Cost?

Standard delivery is free on orders totalling £100 or more.

International shipping costs £44.90. Full details are on our Shipping & Delivery page.

How Long Will My Order Take To Arrive?

Standard delivery typically takes 3 to 5 working days. If you need your items urgently, our express delivery option delivers within 1 to 2 working days.

International orders are usually delivered within 10 business days.

Do You Deliver Internationally?

Yes. International shipping costs £44.90 and is usually delivered within 10 business days.

International shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes or customs charges based on your country's regulations. These are not included in the price of your order or the shipping cost and must be paid by the recipient on delivery. AJ Sports is not responsible for these charges or for any delays caused by customs, so we recommend checking with your local customs office before you order.

How Do I Track My Order?

Once your order has been dispatched you'll receive a confirmation email containing tracking information, so you can follow its progress.

Why Are Some Items Dispatched Later?

Some products need extra time before they're sent:

  • Cricket bats that require knocking in are dispatched within 10 working days, then sent to you with our free next day delivery service.
  • Personalised clothing needs 10 working days for processing before shipment, then it's sent with our free next day delivery service.

Returns & Exchanges

Can I Return Something I Bought Online?

Yes. If you've changed your mind, you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order and return the item within a further 14 days.

The item must be unused and unworn, with all original tags, stickers and packaging intact, in a resaleable condition, and returned with proof of purchase (order number or original invoice).

Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the goods, or of you providing proof of postage, whichever is sooner.

Where Do I Send My Return?

Please send returns to AJ Sports Kingston, 81-85 Robin Hood Way, Kingston, London, SW15 3PW.

You're responsible for return postage on change of mind returns, and we strongly recommend a tracked service as we can't take responsibility for items that don't reach us. We aim to process all returns within 10 working days of receipt.

Can I Return Something I Bought In Store?

The 14 day cancellation right applies to online and distance purchases only. As a gesture of goodwill we'll normally offer an exchange or credit note on unused, unworn in-store purchases returned within 14 days with proof of purchase.

Where a cash refund is offered on a non-faulty in-store purchase, it's limited to a maximum of £75, with any balance issued as store credit or a gift card.

Which Items Can't Be Returned?

The following can't be returned or exchanged simply because you've changed your mind. This doesn't affect your rights if an item is faulty.

  • Personalised and bespoke items, including personalised or printed clothing, personalised bats, custom teamwear and any made to order product.
  • Hygiene and protective items worn against the body, such as abdominal guards, briefs, trunks, jock straps, boxer shorts and baselayers, once removed from their packaging.
  • Any item that has been used, including bats that have been oiled, knocked in, taped, stickered, netted or used in play, and footwear worn outdoors.
  • Bats that have entered our preparation service.

What If My Item Is Faulty?

Contact us with your order number, a description of the problem and clear photographs. Faulty items must be returned to us for inspection before any repair, replacement or refund is agreed, and where a manufacturer's warranty applies we'll normally submit the item to the brand as part of that assessment.

If a fault is confirmed, we'll refund your reasonable return postage costs. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

Do I Need Proof Of Purchase?

Yes. We need an order number, invoice, receipt or bank transaction for all returns, exchanges and fault claims. Read our full Returns policy for more detail.

Cricket Bats & Knocking In

Do I Need To Knock In My Bat?

Yes. Bats supplied unprepared require knocking in and oiling before use, and even a bat sold as pre knocked in will always need further knocking.

Damage caused by using a bat before it has been properly prepared is not a manufacturing fault.

What Does Your Bat Preparation Service Include?

Our full preparation service includes:

  • Machine knocking, with up to 9,000 knocks
  • A coating of raw linseed oil
  • Bat pressing
  • Knocking by hand for a solid finish
  • An anti-scuff sheet to protect the face of the bat
  • Edge tape for extra protection on the edges

You can book it for senior and junior bats on our Bat Servicing page.

How Long Does Knocking In Take On An Online Order?

Bats that require knocking in are dispatched within 10 working days. Once ready, they're sent to you with our free next day delivery service.

Do You Repair Or Refurbish Bats?

Yes. Our Bat Servicing page lists our services, including refurbishment, rehandling, weight reduction and toe guard fitting.

A refurbishment includes a full clean up and sand down, re-oiling, a new protective face sheet and edge protection. Turnaround is seven days from the day we receive your bat. We'll assess your bat first and only go ahead once we've confirmed the work with you.

How Do I Get My Bat To You For Servicing?

You can drop your bat off at any AJ Sports store. Bring proof of payment with you, or pay in store when you drop it off.

If you're posting your bat, please use a tracked delivery service and package it securely, as AJ Sports can't be held responsible for damage in transit. If you'd like it posted back to you, make sure shipping has been paid for at checkout, or in store if paying at drop off.

Can I Remove The Stickers From My Bat?

Please don't. The manufacturer's stickers are the only way to identify a bat, so if they've been removed, replaced or altered we can't inspect it as a fault claim or submit it to the manufacturer.

If a crack appears beneath a sticker, leave the sticker in place and contact us. We can assess it without removing anything.

Where Can I Buy My Club's Kit?

Club kit is listed by club under Club Zone in our main menu, where you'll find match wear and training wear for each club we supply.

How Long Does Personalised Clothing Take?

Can I Return Personalised Or Custom Kit?

Personalised and bespoke items, including personalised or printed clothing, custom teamwear and any made to order product, can't be returned or exchanged because you've changed your mind. This doesn't affect your rights if an item is faulty.

Can I Order Bespoke Cricket Balls?

Yes. Send us your requirements using the form on our Order Bespoke Cricket Balls page.
